Help comes in the form of prayer, friends, family, chocolate. Sometimes I need help doing the dishes and cooking, and sometimes I need help keeping my head and being kind.
Paul said keeping the faith is like being a soldier, an athlete, a farmer. Soldiers fight in armies, athletes have a team, farmers have field workers. We cannot be successful without help.
Soldiers are trained. Athletes learn techniques to make their energy last longer. Farmers get to know the land and the weather and the feel of the day and season. Who trains you? Who encourages you each day in your race? Who works alongside you in this season?
We all need help. So who are you training? Whom do you encourage each day in his or her race? Whom do you walk alongside? Every season brings with it its own struggles. Every season brings with it its own help. Keep your eyes and heart open. Open to those helping you, and open to those whom you can help.
STOP. This week’s Five Minute Friday post is in response to the prompt HELP.
